If you’re looking to break up those long Tassie winter nights, then you’ll want to check out the Festival of Voices. This state-wide festival is the country’s premiere celebration of voice, with thousands of people coming out between 29 June and 10 July 2022 to listen to choirs, participate in singing workshops and enjoy pop-up performances.

The festival is headlined by Australian singer-songwriter Lior, with former Play School star Monica Trapaga also performing a few shows. There’s also a showcase by the Australian Youth Choir and various choir workshops.

The Big Sing, a free feel-good sing-a-long around a bonfire, will also return again this year at Hobart’s Macquarie Point. This joyful event on the 2 July 2022 is the centrepiece of the Festival of Voices and will feature a stellar line-up of local and national performers.

So grab your puffer jacket and warm up your vocal chords. We’ve all got some singing to do.
