Like any good cocktail, Hobart’s iconic food and wine festival will this year be served with a twist – it’s now known as Tasmania’s Taste of Summer. Despite the name change it’s still the Taste we know and love, bringing together loads of Tasmanian eateries, breweries and wineries for us to enjoy over the Christmas and New Year period.

While the full list of stallholders is yet to drop, we do know the Taste of Summer will be bringing together more than 80 of the finest local providers from around the State. And if it’s anything like previous year’s we’re in for a solid feast.

Not only that but the Taste of Summer will be home to Hobart’s premiere waterfront New Years Eve celebrations! The Flight NYE2021 event will have fireworks and live music, coupled with Tassie’s best food and drinks.

The previous Taste of Tasmania festival was canned in 2020 when COVID hit. Run by the Hobart City Council since 1988, the Taste of Tasmania generated over $47 million in economic and social benefits for the state before it eventually outgrew the city’s resources. So with the iconic and much-loved festival drawing to a close, a group of mates banded together to breathe some life into the event and deliver the next chapter of the Taste festival.

Tasmania’s Taste of Summer is a ticketed event, with adults from $16.95 and kids under 12 getting in for free. Click here to grab your tickets today so you don’t miss out on Tasmania’s Taste of Summer.
