Get ready to party because the incredible dual-city music and arts festival Mona Foma is returning to Tasmania in January 2022.

The eclectic event, hosted by the Musuem of Old and New Art (MONA), will take place next year in Launceston on 21-23 January and then in Hobart on 28-30 January.

While next year’s program won’t be announced for another month, we’re already anticipating a stellar lineup and unforgettable moments. Previous Mona Foma festivals have delivered a live radio night club on top of Mount Wellington, a sellout Flaming Lips concert and a laser ghost train. So with that in mind, it’s safe to expect some wild and unexpected events in the 2022 schedule.

Excitingly, mainlanders and international travellers will also get to experience this incredible festival as Tassie plans to reopen their border in a little over a month’s time.

The full program will be announced on 3 December 2021 and tickets will go on sale three days later. Check out the Mona Foma website for more details.
