Are you travelling to Hobart Airport anytime soon? Well give yourself an extra hour to get there, because you’ll need to stop along the way at Luma to eat some of the best woodfired pizza going around.
Luma is a hidden gem buried away in the Cambridge Business Park, only a few minutes away from Hobart Airport. The totally random location of this place, coupled with the high quality food, makes for a surprisingly delightful dining experience!
When you walk through the mammoth wooden doors, you’ll be transported into a warm and trendy environment. The minimalist design featuring a large concrete dining table in the centre of the room, makes you completely forget that Harvey Norman is just outside.
Luma’s pizzas are some of the best you’ll eat outside of Italy and are cooked to perfection. Their sourdough bases are thin, perfectly airy and aren’t overloaded with toppings. You can try a more traditional margherita pizza ($17) or if you’re feeling adventurous they offer a confit duck leg and duck proscutto pizza ($24) or one with pork and veal meatballs ($21).
While known for its pizzas, Luma also specialises in small plates including chinese five spice pork ribs ($15), twice cooked pork belly with apple and ginger puree ($13) and wood-fired meatballs ($12).
So next time you’re catching a flight, or buying that kettle from Harvey Norman, make sure you stop by and enjoy this delightful restaurant. Believe us when we say you won’t regret it!
Before you go, make sure you put on a pair of stretchy pants so you can really enjoy digging into the pizza! If you need to upgrade your wardrobe to find the perfect pair of fashionable and funky elasticised pants, then check out the huge range that’s listed over on the Iconic. You won’t be disappointed!
