Tequila might not be the answer to all of life’s problems but it’s definitely worth a shot. That’s where Pancho Villa in North Hobart steps in, ready to help.

The decor at Pancho Villa transports you straight to Mexico. The joint has dim ornate lighting punctuated by mock stained glass windows, ceramic skulls on the walls and Day of the Dead artwork.  There’s also a cosy courtyard out the back, which is open Wednesday to Sunday.

This revolutionary bar has a huge range of tequila, of course, as well as a generous selection of spirits, cocktails and wines.  For food you can chow down on a range of mexican staples including tacos ($14+), nachos ($18), quesadillas ($17) and jerk chicken ($32).

So if you’re looking for a funky place to go, with great food and drinks, then look no further than Pancho Villa.
